Ramy founded Bush Signature Safari to share his deep passion for the natural environment and the incredible wildlife of his homeland, Tanzania. With over a decade of experience in the field, he has led countless safaris as a head guide across East Africa’s most iconic landscapes.

Born and raised on the edge of Serengeti National Park, Ramy grew up in a large pastoralist and hunter community. His father had four wives and twenty children, and Ramy was raised alongside nine brothers and eleven sisters, surrounded by tradition, nature, and storytelling.

Motivated by a love for conservation, he pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Wildlife Management at Mweka African Wildlife College. He continued his training at Ulovane Environmental Training in South Africa, where he earned his professional guiding certifications. Upon returning to Tanzania, he worked with some of Africa’s most respected safari companies, including Singita, Asilia, Legendary Expeditions, Selous Safaris, and Overseas Adventure Travel.

Bush Signature Safari is the realization of his dream — to create personalized, meaningful experiences that connect people to the wild in a respectful and unforgettable way.

Whether guests travel to Tanzania or elsewhere in Africa, Ramy is passionate about sharing the landscapes, wildlife, and cultures that make this continent so extraordinary.

Happiness was born at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, in a humble farming community of the Chaga tribe. Her roots in this vibrant cultural region continue to inspire her work today.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism and Cultural Heritage from the University of Dodoma, along with a background in Banking and Finance. With over 10 years of experience across both the tourism and banking industries, Happiness brings a unique blend of professionalism, cultural insight, and heart to our team.

At Bush Signature Safari, she leads our community outreach efforts and helps build partnerships that create real lasting impact. Her passion lies in empowering local communities and giving back to the places that shaped her journey. She is a true example of positive change and a valued part of our team.

Barr is a veterinarian, epidemiologist, and adventurer from Hawaii with a passion for animals, technology, and the natural world. His career has spanned small and large animal medicine, international travel, and entrepreneurship. Along the way, he’s co-founded veterinary startups focused on mobile care and telehealth, and completed a PhD in veterinary epidemiology at the University of Guelph, where his research explored health informatics and emerging technology in animal health.

Curious by nature and driven by connection, Barr has always been drawn to the places where animals, people, and environments intersect. He believes that storytelling, science, and shared experiences all play a role in deepening our relationship with the natural world. This perspective shapes his approach to every project, from tech platforms to safari planning.

At Bush Signature Safaris, Barr leads operations and helps craft immersive, thoughtful journeys that highlight the beauty, complexity, and interconnectedness. Whether behind the scenes or out in the field, he’s committed to creating experiences that are seamless, enriching, and deeply memorable.

Laura is a veterinarian from Spain with a deep passion for animal care, nature, and cultural connection. After completing her veterinary degree at Complutense University of Madrid, she gained experience in both hospital and general practice settings, and is currently pursuing advanced training in small animal internal medicine.

As Bush Signature Safari’s International Liaison for Europe, Laura helps build bridges between our European guests and the unforgettable experiences waiting in East Africa. She brings warmth, empathy, and a strong appreciation for both detail and hospitality, ensuring that every journey starts with a sense of welcome and understanding.
